2500 Years Marathon

2500 Years Marathon

In 2010, the world Marathon movement celebrates the 2500th anniversary of the Marathon Battle (490 BC) and the legend of Pheidippides the Greek soldier-runner who ran from the village of Marathon to Athens bearing the message of victory to the Athenians. This legend provided the impetus for the establishment of the Marathon as an event during the first Modern Olympic Games, held in Athens in 1896.

Hiroaki Chosa, President of AIMS (Association of International Marathons & Distance Races) commented: “2010 is an important year in the history of marathon running, marking the 2500th anniversary of the historical run from Marathon to Athens. AIMS is delighted to endorse the use of this logo amongst our 300 member races in 85 countries in order to acknowledge this great occasion.”

The Habsburg Capitals - Vienna

'The Habsburg Capitals' - Vienna

In our product focus sequence we’d like to focus your attention on one of our leisure packages designed for groups. ‘The Habsburg Capitals’ Package is a classical package combining the visit of thee of Europe’s nicest and most vibrant cities.

During the Habsburg dynasty, the current nations of Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic (and Slovakia) had Vienna as their imperial capital. Needless to say that this century’s long period contributed to a cultural connection. Furthermore these three amazing cities are located all within a 6 hours drive at the furthest, making it a great possibility to visit all three in a combination tour. All three cities are specific and everyone seems to like one over the other in different aspects: Vienna being the upscale emperor city, Budapest the fast moving entertaining capital and Prague, with its middle age Old Town and Castle sights.

CTE Tourism offers a custom designed package according to the requirements and budgets of groups interrested in this trip. Our guarantee of excellent service combined with a very competitive pricing will ensure overall client satisfaction.

Please feel free to inquire for more information or request for a quote for your independant group(s) and/or series.
